Every December since 2015 has Jim Lyngvild who is the owner of Valheim Hof and the Viking inspired house Ravnsborg, held a Yule market in the town of Korinth in Denmark. At this yule market, you will be able to go inside and look around his house Ravnsborg, and his hof, which is a pagan place of worship.
This is not a traditional Christmas market, it has a pagan touch, and some people even turn up to the market dressed in traditional Viking clothes. The interest in the Yule market has been steadily increasing each year since it was held for the first time in 2015.
At this Yule market, you will be able to purchase, jewelry, handbags, handicraft, perfume, creams, flowers, Christmas/Yule decorations, beer, wine, candy, and many other interesting things and objects from 35 small shops placed around the market, that you will have to come and check out for yourself.
It is also possible to purchase tasty Danish food and drinks at the yule market from food stalls placed around the market. You can, for instance, try some of the very popular pancakes or rib sandwiches, that you can enjoy inside the large heated tents, so you don’t have to stand around outside and freeze your behind off. Remember to bring cash or install the mobilepay App (App might not work for international guests, so bring cash!).
You can travel to and from the parking spot in a horse-drawn carriage for DKK 10/person. It is not possible to drive up next to the market place for security reasons, and you will need to walk for about 5-10 minutes. It can be difficult for people in a wheelchair depending on the weather conditions since it is on a dirt road.
